When finding people who might be the right fit for Delphic, there are certain qualities that stand out to us above the rest–intelligence, enthusiasm, and an inherent passion for all things digital. So when we learned that Brian Osborn, our Tech Director of Enterprise accounts was just 12 years old when he wrote his first computer program–before he actually touched a computer–we knew we found the right man for the job.
“I got a book from the library on basic programming, and it just made sense to me. I wrote the program out on paper before I had access to a computer. When I did finally enter it into a machine it worked with very little corrections.”
Work History Snapshot
Osborn decided to make a career out of his lifelong love of programming. He studied computer science in Edinburgh, Scotland, and then hit the scene as a developer, working for clients in the travel, engineering, banking, and pharmaceuticals industries. After 15 years in this role, he focused on the architecture side of things, before taking on the client-facing world.
As Tech Director of Enterprise Accounts, Osborn is in charge of the whole enchilada–he oversees technical projects, works with clients to understand and meet their needs, and ensures that the solutions we deliver are accurate and on time. If that sounds like a lot of responsibility for one person to shoulder, it’s because it is.
Fortunately, Osborn is up for the challenge.
“I like being able to get the client interested in a product from the technical side, while addressing their concerns and putting their fears to rest.”
Outside the Office
When Brian isn’t making magic happen in front of clients or his computer screen, he’s behind a lens. A self-proclaimed live music junkie, he spends most of his free time attending and photographing concerts happening all over Philly.
